Clockenflap x musiK11: Emmy the Great
Born in Hong Kong and now based in London, singer-song writer Emmy the Great is well-received among fans in Hong Kong. She has released two albums, Frist Love and Virtue.
She has performed with indie folk groups Lightspeed Champion and Noah and the Whale, but is primarily known for her solo work. Her debut single, Secret Circus, was released in April 2006.
Her debut album First Love was released in 2009 to positive reviews and spawned the singles We Almost Had A Baby and First Love.
Her second album, Virtue was released in June 2011. Speaking of the album’s recording process, she said that, “It’s been a very strange few months, and I can’t wait to make a record of them”. Both albums were released on Emmy’s own label Close Harbour Records.
